Ishika Motghare Becomes Nagpur’s First Female Rugby Player

Ishika Motghare, hailing from Nagpur, has made history by becoming the first player from the city to be selected for the Maharashtra Senior Women’s Rugby Championship 2024. The tournament is currently taking place at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune. Following a rigorous conditioning camp, the Rugby Association of Maharashtra announced the Maharashtra Senior Women’s Team, where Ishika secured a spot after eight years of unwavering dedication and hard work. This remarkable achievement serves as an inspiration for future generations to embrace the sport of rugby, as stated in a press release from the Rugby Association of Nagpur.
The success of Ishika Motghare is sure to boost the confidence of other rugby players in the city and contribute to the promotion and development of rugby in the Nagpur district, as mentioned in the press release.
