Breaking: Instagram Permits ‘Direct Download’ of Public Reels for Users

A big news there from the photos and videos sharing platform commonly called Instagram. Yes, you heard it right, its the CEO of the platform Adam Mosseri who announced that the users across the world have the option of downloading Instagram Reels from the platform directly without worrying directly over the Camera roll. This feature was rolled out in the US earlier this June, while now it is being tested for the global audience getting the beta testing over the iOS and Android platforms.

This feature is very much similar to the earlier functionality of download that was found on the Tik Tok allowing the users to access the video directly over the download button with the help of the share button. To secure the work of the content creators, the download Reels feature allows you to save over the gallery of your device with a watermark. The watermark comes as the username of the Instagram user who has originally posted on the platform.

The said update will be applied directly to all the public accounts allowed to anyone over Instagram that helps you download and then share the reels unless of the Instagram settings. For all the Instagram users who fall under 18 age having public accounts will not enjoy this reason for the above reason. However, these can help in downloading the features that are earlier deactivated, however, they are able to retain the flexibility over activating it over their comfort.

The official statement has come along with the details about the same in its official FAQ, while the platform seemed to have been securing the privacy and accessibility rights of the Reels. Also, in this feature, the account privacy setting has an important role in finding out the accessibility over the Reels download over the users.
