Pune to Experience Continuous Rainfall for 3 Days After Christmas: Full IMD Forecast Inside

After experiencing single-digit temperatures earlier this month, Pune is set to face a shift in weather, with cloudy skies and light rain expected in the coming days, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). For today, December 24, the IMD forecasts morning fog or mist, followed by partly cloudy skies, with temperatures ranging between 17 degrees Celsius and 29 degrees Celsius.Starting from December 26, light rain is likely to occur in Pune due to moisture-laden winds originating from northern India.

Anupam Kashyapi, the former head of weather forecasting at IMD, noted that southerly winds would carry moisture from the Bay of Bengal, possibly leading to isolated fog in parts of Maharashtra, including Pune.The cloudy weather is expected to continue from Christmas, which will lower daytime temperatures and increase the wind chill effect. Earlier this month, Pune experienced a significant drop in minimum temperatures, with lows around 6 degrees Celsius recorded in areas such as the National Defence Academy. This cold wave was attributed to northern winds and low humidity levels.

December 25: Expect fog or mist in the morning, transitioning to partly cloudy skies later, with temperatures ranging from 18 to 29 degrees Celsius.
December 26: A generally cloudy sky with light rain, minimum temperature around 20 degrees Celsius, and maximum reaching 28 degrees Celsius.
December 27: Cloudy conditions with light rain, temperatures between 21 and 28 degrees Celsius.
December 28: Rain is anticipated, with minimum temperatures around 22 degrees Celsius and maximums of 28 degrees Celsius.
December 29: Partly cloudy skies with haze, temperatures ranging from 21 to 29 degrees Celsius.
