OpenAI President Greg Brockman Steps Down Following Sam Altman’s Departure”
We could see a sudden upheaval taking place within the leadership of OpenAI, which barely needs any introduction. Sam Altman, who happens to be the company’s co-founder and president, has been sacked from his top position after a review meet that took place recently. As per the insiders, he was seen lacking in terms of transparency and candour in his communications with the members and board of directors. This has led to the loss of confidence among the leadership of Altman who has prompted the board to send the person in exile during his tenure.
Mira Murati who happens to be the CTO of OpenAi is now the temporary CEO of the company, which is looking forward to steer the company with the help of a transitional phase. This decision has added a big shift in the leadership of OpenAI as Atlman has played a key role in shaping up the direction of the company since it started. However, the assessment from the board is more about the lapses seen in the communication with the board, which eventually made him unfit leading to the next chapter.
As we see the company moving in thai transition, the expertise of Murati and the exposure will play an important role in managing the focus of the company and its mission for developing a much beneficial and safer side of AI. The lady’s leadership skills will ensure the growth and success of the company.
Meanwhile, the ex-CEO left the company with the following tweet on X, have a look:
