Nagpur Records Chilly Morning as Minimum Temperature Drops to 9.6°C

Nagpur woke up to a chilly Tuesday morning, with the minimum temperature settling at 9.6°C—almost unchanged from the previous day but 2.4 degrees below the seasonal average, signaling a persistent winter chill. The maximum temperature climbed slightly to 28.4°C, up by 0.8 degrees, yet remained 1 degree below normal. Morning relative humidity was recorded at 63%, while no rainfall occurred in the past 24 hours.

Visibility ranged between 2 and 4 kilometers, indicating light haze conditions in the city.Across the Vidarbha region, temperatures held steady with daytime highs between 28°C and 31°C and nighttime lows dipping to single digits in some areas. Gondia registered one of the lowest minimum temperatures at 8.6°C, followed by Nagpur at 9.6°C and Yavatmal at 10°C, reflecting colder nights in eastern Vidarbha.Meanwhile, cities like Akola (30.1°C), Amravati (31.2°C), and Brahmapuri (30.5°C) experienced relatively warmer days, while Chandrapur and Wardha recorded maximums near 30°C.

Morning humidity remained elevated across several districts—84% in Akola, 87% in Amravati, and 83% in Wardha—contributing to mild haze in parts of the region. Visibility was notably reduced in Gondia and Wardha, dropping to just 1–2 kilometers.No rainfall was reported anywhere in Vidarbha over the last 24 hours. Meteorological officials forecast that dry weather conditions will continue, with cool mornings and mild afternoons expected over the next several days. Residents, particularly in rural and low-lying areas, should brace for cold nights and early morning haze persisting through the period.
