Nagpur Police Arrests Three in Fake Zudio Franchise Scheme

In a significant development, the Cyber Cell of Nagpur City Police has arrested three individuals linked to a fraudulent scheme that defrauded a local resident of Rs. 20,35,500. The suspects have been identified as Ganesh Saryug Pasvan, Raviranjan Kumar Yogendra Pasvan, and Rohit Kumar Sahdev Pasvan, all hailing from Nalanda, Bihar.The scam unfolded when the victim, interested in acquiring a franchise of the well-known clothing brand Zudio, was lured into making a hefty payment through deceptive email communications. The perpetrators, masquerading as official representatives of Zudio, set up a fake email account to interact with the victim.
Unbeknownst to the victim, he filled out a fraudulent franchise application form, falling prey to their elaborate scheme.It was only after the payment was made that the victim recognized the deceit and promptly reported the matter to the Nagpur City Police. Following a thorough investigation and tracking efforts, the police were able to locate the suspects in Nalanda, Bihar. The operation culminated successfully with the arrest of the three accused on July 26, 2024.
This operation was carried out under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Crime Nimit Goyal and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Dr. Abhijit Patil. The investigative team comprised dedicated officers, including Amit Doddas, Amol Deshmukh, Assistant Police Inspector (API) Vivek Latmure, Shailesh Nighut, Praful Janbandhu, Yogesh Kakad, and Rohit Matale, all of whom played crucial roles in bringing the culprits to justice.
