GlobalLogic Inaugurates Robo Shiksha Kendra: A State-of-the-Art STEM Innovation Lab in Nagpur

GlobalLogic, a leader in digital product engineering and part of the Hitachi Group, today inaugurated the Robo Shiksha Kendra, an advanced STEM Innovation Lab at C. P. Berar High School in Nagpur. This initiative, implemented in partnership with the India STEM Foundation, is a key component of GlobalLogic’s flagship #EducateToEmpower CSR program, aimed at providing underserved communities with equitable access to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education and hands-on learning experiences.
The initiative is designed to equip students with essential future-ready skills. The newly launched STEM Innovation Lab will offer immersive, experiential learning opportunities in emerging technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, electronics, and coding. Additionally, it will enhance teacher capacity-building through structured training programs. In its initial phase, the lab is expected to benefit over 400 students from classes 6 to 11, with the potential to reach approximately 500 students annually as part of its long-term vision.
Nagpur holds strategic significance for GlobalLogic, given its growing talent pool, educational infrastructure, and increasing prominence in India’s tech landscape. The region aligns with GlobalLogic’s goals for community engagement and workforce development. This initiative represents a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to fostering inclusive growth in high-potential regional hubs. In addition to community outreach, GlobalLogic is also exploring opportunities to expand its business presence in Nagpur, with plans to hire over 400 employees in the area over the next two years.
GlobalLogic has already supported over 6 STEM Labs across India, impacting more than 4,400 students nationwide. These initiatives promote vital 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, innovation, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving among students. Through partnerships with leading implementation agencies, GlobalLogic continues to scale its efforts across India in alignment with its long-term social impact vision.
The inauguration of the STEM Lab was attended by Mr. Manojkumar Panda, Curator – D, Raman Science Centre and Planetarium, National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), along with senior officials from GlobalLogic, including Mr. Amit Kale, Associate Vice President – Engineering, Ms. Monika Walia, APAC Head of CSR, and Mr. Sudhanshu Sharma, Founder Director of the India STEM Foundation.
