Four Rape Teenager Over Months on Pune College Grounds

A deeply distressing incident has emerged from Pune, Maharashtra, where a 16-year-old girl revealed that she was gang-raped by four unidentified individuals over a period of six months while attending college. The shocking disclosure came during a counseling session related to the recent Badlapur sexual assault case, which involved the accused, Akshay Shinde, who was reported dead following an alleged police shootout.
The minor recounted her harrowing experience, stating that the assaults occurred in various locations on the college campus, including the washroom. She further claimed that the perpetrators recorded the assaults and shared the videos on social media, leading to her images going viral. Consequently, she began receiving numerous calls from unknown individuals who spoke to her inappropriately. According to reports, the assailants had initially befriended her through social media, although they did not know her personally.
The incidents reportedly took place between April and September of this year. Following the girl’s revelation, law enforcement acted swiftly, apprehending the four suspects, two of whom are minors. The police have registered charges against them under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.In a related development, Akshay Shinde, who was arrested last month for allegedly sexually assaulting two kindergarten girls at a school in Badlapur, was killed in a police shootout earlier this week.
