Food Delivery Rider Tragically Killed in Pune Hit-and-Run Incident

In a tragic hit-and-run incident in Pune, a luxury car struck and killed a motorcyclist before fleeing the scene. The accident occurred in the Koregaon Park area, near the Google office. The victim has been identified as Rauf Akbar Shaikh, who worked as a delivery partner for a food service. Reports suggest that the driver of the luxury vehicle may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. The police are currently investigating the incident to gather more information.
This incident follows a recent high-profile hit-and-run case in Pune involving a Porsche driven by a teenager. That case garnered significant attention due to allegations of attempts by various individuals, including doctors and the teen’s parents, to cover up the crime. The accused, 34-year-old Ayush Tayal, fled the scene but was later apprehended by police after they analyzed CCTV footage to identify his vehicle.
