Wife Cracks Husband’s WhatsApp, Uncovers Sexual Abuse Crimes, Gets Him Arrested

A 24-year-old woman from Nagpur took decisive action against her 32-year-old husband, leading to his arrest after she hacked into his WhatsApp account. Her investigation revealed that he had sexually abused and blackmailed multiple women. The woman also accused her husband of making unnatural sexual demands and forcing her into pornographic acts. Additionally, she assisted a teen rape survivor in filing a complaint against him, which contributed to his arrest.According to police, the accused used fake identities to mislead women, luring them to locations such as spiritual ceremonies.
His wife had previously filed a cruelty case against him, alleging similar misconduct.Suspecting her husband’s infidelity, the wife cloned his phone and accessed his WhatsApp account, where she discovered compromising photos and videos of other women. The chats revealed that he misled these women by claiming to be unmarried and extorted money from some, coercing them into fulfilling his sexual demands using the recorded material.The accused, who operated a pan shop in Nagpur, reportedly met these women in hotels around the city.A senior police officer stated that the wife reached out to several women and encouraged them to report the incidents to the police in Nagpur.
Eventually, a 19-year-old woman, who had also been sexually abused by the accused, agreed to file a complaint. The survivor disclosed that the accused had presented himself as “Sahil Sharma” while concealing his marital status and child. She mentioned that she was in Nagpur for her studies and was misled into believing he would marry her.“The teen was understandably terrified, and our team provided her with counseling to help her file the complaint and ensure justice was served.
The accused had even sold her ring and taken the money. His wife revealed that he was simultaneously cheating on four to five women,” said a senior officer from the Pachpaoli Police Station.A case has been registered against the accused under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including rape, identity deception, blackmail, and extortion. After being granted one-day custody previously, the police presented the accused in court on Monday, seeking further custodial remand.
