Traffic Diversions Implemented for PM Narendra Modi’s Rally in Pune Today

On Sunday, Pune City Traffic Police announced significant changes to traffic patterns on several major roads in preparation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on Tuesday. The Prime Minister will address a rally at SP College Ground, aimed at campaigning for the BJP and its alliance partners in the upcoming assembly elections.
To facilitate the movement of the Prime Minister’s convoy, the police will implement specific traffic alterations on Tuesday. In an effort to prevent congestion, there will be a ban on heavy vehicles across 13 major roads in the city.Notably, Kelkar Road will operate with one-way traffic allowed from Tilak Chowk to Bhide Bridge Junction. Drivers are advised to take an alternate route by turning left at Z Bridge and then right at Bhide Bridge Junction. Additionally, entry from Garud Ganpati Chowk to Bhide Bridge Chowk will be restricted, requiring vehicles to turn left from Garud Ganpati Chowk and make a U-turn at Tilak Chowk.
Furthermore, direct access to Kelkar Road from Deccan via Bhide Bridge will be prohibited. Instead, vehicles should take a left turn after Bhide Bridge and proceed along Riverside Road. The traffic changes also include the closure of entry from NS Phadke Chowk to Nath Pai Chowk, with an alternate route provided via Nilayam Bridge and Sinhagad Road.
Access to Ambil Odha Junction from Babura Ghule Road will also be blocked, with alternative routes available via Joggers Park Road and Shastri Road.In addition to these measures, heavy vehicles will be banned on multiple roads, including Solapur Road, Ahmednagar Road, Alandi Road, and others, to ensure smooth traffic flow throughout the city during this significant event.
