Team WCL Samvad Gains National Recognition for Vigilance Awareness Initiatives

Western Coalfields Limited (WCL)‘s sustainable communication team, Team Samvad, has received prestigious recognition from Coal India Limited (CIL) for its exceptional contributions to the Vigilance Awareness Campaign (VAW-2024). This three-month initiative focused on promoting preventive vigilance while fostering a culture of transparency and integrity.During a felicitation ceremony held in Nagpur, the award was presented to Senior Manager (Public Relations) Shri Asheesh Tayal and team member Shri Saurabh Wahane by WCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Shri Jai Prakash DwivediDirector (Finance and Personnel) Shri Bikram Ghosh, and Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Ajay Madhukar Mhetre.
They were joined by General Manager/HoD Shri P. Narendra Kumar and other senior officials.The WCL Board commended Team Samvad for its innovative and impactful initiatives that played a crucial role in the success of the vigilance campaign. Their efforts in promoting ethical practices and preventive vigilance have greatly enhanced the organization’s reputation within the coal industry.The closing ceremony of VAW-2024, which took place in Kolkata, was attended by prominent industry leaders, including Coal India Limited Chairman Shri P.M. PrasadChief Vigilance Officer Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathi, and Director (Finance) Shri Mukesh Agarwal.
The event also featured participation from Shri Ravinder Kumar, Director of the Central Vigilance Commission, along with Chief Vigilance Officers from CIL subsidiaries and public sector undertakings like MSTC Limited and Hindustan Copper Limited.This recognition highlights WCL’s unwavering commitment to vigilance, transparency, and ethical governance. The company’s leadership conveyed their best wishes to Team Samvad, encouraging them to maintain their excellent work and reach new milestones in the future.
