Sri M and SMHRC Advocate for Accessible Healthcare in Rural Areas

A momentous occasion in the advancement of healthcare services for rural communities unfolded on July 14, 2024, at Datta Meghe Medical College, Wanadongri, Nagpur, signifying a significant milestone in the provision of healthcare to these underserved areas. The Handing Over Ceremony of The Satsang Foundation Advanced Mobile Medical Unit and the MOU Signing Ceremony with Shalinitai Meghe Hospital & Research Centre, Nagpur, were graced by the esteemed presence of M, Founder of The Satsang Foundation. M, a Padma Bhushan awardee, Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, and renowned spiritual guide and social reformer, has played a pivotal role in championing various social and healthcare initiatives through The Satsang Foundation.
His presence underscored the importance of this initiative in addressing the healthcare needs of the rural populace.The event was attended by prominent figures, including Shri Dattaji Meghe, Founder Chancellor of DMIHER; Shri Lalit Waghmare, Vice Chancellor of DMIHER; Justice (Retd.) Sunil Shukre, President of The Satsang Foundation, Nagpur; Shri Ravi Meghe, Member BOM, DMIHER; and other distinguished individuals. The ceremony commenced with the formal handing over of The Satsang Foundation Mobile Hospital Unit, a state-of-the-art mobile medical facility equipped to provide essential healthcare services to remote and rural regions. This Mobile Unit was generously donated to TSF by the Valuable Group. This endeavor represents a significant step towards bridging the healthcare gap and ensuring that quality medical care is accessible to all, irrespective of geographical location. Following the welcome address by Dr. Lalit Waghmare, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed and exchanged between The Satsang Foundation and the SMHRC, symbolizing a partnership aimed at delivering comprehensive healthcare services to rural communities.
This collaboration will leverage the strengths of both organizations, combining resources, expertise, and outreach capabilities to maximize the impact of healthcare delivery. In his address, M emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare and the role of mobile medical units in reaching the most marginalized populations. He expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders involved in making this initiative a reality and reiterated his commitment to continuing efforts in improving public health. Dattaji Meghe expressed his unwavering support for the initiative and emphasized the vital role of healthcare in rural development.
