Death Toll Rises to Seven in Nagpur Explosives Factory Blast

The death toll from the explosion that occurred at an explosives factory near Nagpur city has now reached seven, as another worker passed away during treatment at Dande Hospital on Friday evening.The tragic blast, which took place on Thursday afternoon at Chamundi Explosives Pvt Ltd, claimed the lives of five women and one man. Additionally, another male worker succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in the area on Friday, as confirmed by a doctor.
In response to the incident, the police arrested Jay Shivshankar Khemka, the 49-year-old director of the factory, and Sagar Deshmukh, the manager. The two suspects were presented before the Judicial Magistrate First Class in Hingna on Friday morning. The magistrate granted them cash bail of Rs 50,000 each.The authorities are actively investigating the blast to determine the cause and any potential negligence or safety violations.
