Pune PMC Election Result 2026: BJP Leads from the Start — Full Ward-Wise Winner List

The vote counting for the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) elections began at 10 AM, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) taking an early lead in both PMC and Pimpri–Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) polls. The main contest is between BJP, contesting all 165 seats, and the alliance of Ajit Pawar-led NCP with Sharad Pawar-led NCP(SP).BJP ruled PMC single-handedly from 2017 to 2022, after which an Administrator took charge due to delays caused by a Supreme Court hold on the reservation issue.
The United NCP, which held power for ten years before BJP’s win in 2017, remains the main opposition.The overall voter turnout in PMC was 52.42%, with the lowest turnout in Aundh-Bopodi (45.12%) and Wanowrie-Salunke Vihar (45.54%). The highest turnout was recorded in Shivane-Khadakwasla-Dhayari at 57.81%, a newly added area after city expansion. BJP’s strength lies mainly in central Pune, while NCP is hopeful for strong suburban support.
