Priyanka Gandhi’s Debut Nagpur Visit Attracts Huge Crowds for Congress Rally

In a candid and open letter, renowned actor Nayanthara has confronted long-standing issues with fellow actor-producer Dhanush K Raja. The letter highlights the obstacles she encountered while seeking permissions for her Netflix documentary, which details her journey in the film industry and her personal life. Nayanthara Alleges Personal Grudge Behind Denial
Nayanthara accuses Dhanush of intentionally withholding a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to include elements from their successful film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in her documentary. Despite two years of efforts to obtain permission for songs, visuals, and photographs, she claims that Dhanush consistently denied her requests.Expressing her disappointment, Nayanthara remarked that the songs from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan hold significant personal meaning and are central to her documentary’s narrative. She wrote, “Your refusal to allow us to use the songs, or even the lyrics, broke my heart.”
Legal Dispute Over Documentary Footage
The controversy escalated when Nayanthara revealed that Dhanush issued a legal notice after the release of the documentary’s trailer, challenging the use of behind-the-scenes clips that amounted to just a few seconds of footage. This notice, which demanded ₹10 crores in damages, left Nayanthara and her team taken aback. She criticized this action as an “all-time low” and questioned his integrity, asking, “Does a producer become an emperor controlling the lives, freedom, and liberty of all the individuals on set?”
Past Grievances and Public Criticism
In her letter, Nayanthara revisited grievances dating back to the release of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan nearly a decade ago. She suggested that Dhanush’s ego was bruised by the film’s success, which she claims was apparent during various award functions. She noted, “Your ego was supremely hurt after the film became a blockbuster… The words you said pre-release have left unhealable scars.” Nayanthara further alleged that Dhanush harbored resentment toward her and her partner, impacting both their documentary and the collaborative dynamics of their team.
A Call for Reflection
In the latter part of her letter, Nayanthara encouraged Dhanush to release past grievances and adopt a more positive mindset. She emphasized the importance of spreading love and recognizing others’ achievements, stating, “The world is a big place, it’s meant for everyone. It’s okay for people you know to succeed… I hope and pray that someday you too can genuinely spread love and not just verbalize it.”As of now, Dhanush has not publicly responded to Nayanthara’s open letter.
