Nagpur Police Busts ‘Professor Gang’ Cybercriminals, Recovers Rs 1.15 Crore

In a significant breakthrough, the Nagpur Police have successfully dismantled the notorious ‘Professor Gang,’ a group of cyber criminals involved in defrauding investors through fake share trading schemes. Acting on leads from two cases, the police apprehended four suspects and seized Rs 1.15 crore, which had been obtained from unsuspecting victims .Operating under various aliases, the gang specifically targeted individuals like Moti Kishanchand Dularamani, a 78-year-old who fell victim to their schemes.
He lost a staggering amount of Rs 2.48 crore after being enticed by a WhatsApp group promising high returns on investments through the ‘CHC-HES’ app. Following an extensive investigation, the police successfully froze the bank accounts associated with the fraudulent activities and managed to recover Rs 1.07 crore for Dularamani through legal proceedings. The arrested suspects have been identified as Manoj Pratap Chand Bansal, Rajesh Kumar Siyaram Goyal, Tushar Sanjay Kumar Garg, and Vikas Kisankumar Bansal. These individuals, who are residents of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, were already facing charges in New Delhi. Currently, they await transfer to Nagpur to face further legal action.
