Anil Deshmukh Alleges Attempt to Portray Pune Porsche Crash Victims as Drunk; Police Deny Claim
A big news there as we hear that the Pune police have dismissed former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh’s claim that there is an attempt to prove that the victims of the Porsche crash were drunk. From the very first day, the Police is alleged to play dubious role in this case. Thanks to the high profile family involved in such cases, which make the law and order prostrate before them. The police emphasized that the conduct of the victims is irrelevant in this case. Deshmukh had alleged that the blood samples of the juvenile involved in the accident were initially swapped to give the impression that he was not intoxicated.
Anil Deshmukh further claimed that efforts are being made to show in the viscera report that the two victims were drunk, in order to establish in court that the accident was caused by their conduct. He alleged that this is being done to ensure the son of a real estate developer is set free. However, a senior Pune police official rejected Deshmukh’s claims, stating that the conduct of the victims has no impact on the case. The police assert that the speeding Porsche, driven by the 17-year-old minor, who they believe was drunk, collided with the victims’ two-wheeler. The viscera report is currently pending.
The tragic incident occurred on May 19, when techies Anish Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta, who were returning from a party at a hotel in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar, lost their lives after the Porsche crashed into their bike in the early hours of the morning. The teenager is currently in an observation home until June 25, while his parents are in police custody due to alleged blood sample swapping to protect the minor.
