Pune Police Unveils Shocking Reason Behind IIT Engineer’s Tragic Murder of His 3-Year-Old Son

The Pune Police have reported that Madhav Teketi, an IIT Bangalore alumnus who confessed to killing his 3-year-old son, expressed suspicions about his wife’s character. The police noted that the couple frequently engaged in arguments.Madhav, an engineer at a multinational company, resided in Chandannagar with his wife, Swaroopa Teketi, who is also an engineer, and their son, Himmat.
The tragic incident came to light on Thursday when Swaroopa filed a complaint at the Chandannagar Police Station, stating that her son went missing around 12:30 PM while in Madhav’s care.In response, the Pune Police registered a case under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and initiated an investigation.During the inquiry, CCTV footage revealed that Madhav had left their residential complex with Himmat, but returned alone. Further investigation uncovered that he had purchased a knife and a blade from a local shop prior to the incident.
Sima Dhakane, senior police inspector at the Chandannagar police station, indicated that when police initially questioned Madhav, he was under the influence of alcohol and provided misleading information. “When police questioned the accused, he was under the influence of alcohol and was misleading the police,” Dhakane stated.However, after a thorough technical analysis and sustained interrogation, Madhav ultimately confessed to the crime. Following his admission, he was charged under Section 103(1) and 238 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The incident has created a great amount of panic in the area as people could see an educated and high salary paid youth killing his son. Many in the area also feel that the onus of killing should also go towards the youth’s wife, who kept fighting and quatelling that should be the root cause to this incident.
