The Traffic Department of Nagpur City Police has released a detailed route plan for Ganesh Visarjan to ensure seamless traffic movement across the city from September 25 to 27. Idol immersions will take place across prominent natural water bodies, including Koradi Lake, Police Line Takli Lake, Gorewada Ring Road Tank, Kachhivisa Tank, Futala Lake, Gandhisagar Lake, Sakkardara Lake, and Sonegaon Lake, as well as multiple artificial immersion tanks set up throughout Nagpur.
To manage the heavy procession crowds, specific zone-wise travel corridors have been established for major destination points:
Koradi Lake Route: Devotees from Zones 1 and 2 are instructed to travel via Sawarkar Nagar Square, Aath Rasta Chowk, Laxmi Nagar Chowk, Shankar Nagar Square, Laxmi Bhavan Square, Law College Square, Ladies Club Square, Old Katol Naka Chowk, Koradi Naka, and Wanjari Bhavan Chowk. Processions from Zones 2 and 4 will move through Ajni Naka Chowk, Kriplani Chowk, Morris College Square, Samvidhan Chowk, Chhaoni Y-Point, Pagalkhana Chowk, and Karemore Chowk. Zone 3 traffic will navigate via Telephone Exchange Square, Agrasen Square, Dosar Bhavan Chowk, Mayo Hospital, LIC Chowk, Liberty Chowk, and Mankapur Chowk, while Zone 5 will access the lake directly via Automotive Chowk and Mankapur Chowk.
Gorewada Tank Route: Zones 1, 2, and 3 will route through Liberty Chowk, Chhaoni Y-Point, Old Katol Naka Chowk, and Gittikhadan Chowk toward Gorewada Chowk. Zones 5 and 6 will proceed via Mankapur Chowk and Zingabai Takli.
Police Line Takli Tank & Kachhivisa Tank: Traffic for Police Line Takli from Zones 1, 2, and 3 will move via Liberty Chowk, Chhaoni Y-Point, Durga Mandir Chhaoni, and Old Katol Naka. For Kachhivisa Tank, Zones 3, 4, and 5 must proceed via Vaishnodevi Chowk, Wardhaman Nagar, and Ambedkar Chowk.
Futala Lake Route: The designated path runs via Jaistambh Chowk, Shri Mohini Complex, LIC Chowk, Liberty T-Point, C K Naidu Chowk, Sadar Police Station, Japani Garden Chowk, and Telankhedi Hanuman Mandir.
Citizens and devotees are urged to strictly follow these official directives to prevent congestion during the immersion days.
