While MIHAN often grabs the spotlight, Additional Butibori MIDC is rapidly emerging as the region’s key investment hub. Officials report that 24 companies have submitted proposals totaling ₹1.95 lakh crore, promising to generate over 70,000 direct jobs alongside thousands of indirect opportunities for MSMEs.Manohar Pote, Regional Officer of MIDC Nagpur, shared that 15 companies have already been allotted land, committing investments of ₹1.16 lakh crore and creating 35,000 jobs.
Among these, Avaada Electro has commenced solar panel production and aims to reach full capacity by December, while Sangam Solar One has also started operations. Pernod Ricard’s liquor plant is pending environmental clearance.An additional nine companies are in the process of acquiring land, pledging investments of ₹79,000 crore and 35,500 jobs.
To support this demand, MIDC is acquiring 3,700 acres. Avaada plans to establish an industrial glass unit, and Sangam Solar One seeks land for expansion.Several bhoomipujans are on the horizon as well. Waaree Energies, the parent company of Sangam Solar One, is set to begin work on its ₹8,000 crore solar panel plant, which will employ 3,650 people. JSW Renewables and Wardhan Lithium are expected to follow within two to three months, with other projects slated for construction in 2026.
To streamline land allotment, MIDC has introduced the MILAAP portal, an online platform providing details on land maps, rates, and availability—eliminating the need for physical visits to MIDC offices.With these high-value proposals underway, Additional Butibori MIDC is quickly establishing itself as Vidarbha’s true industrial powerhouse.
