A talented group of young boys from Jafar Nagar, in the city of Nagpur, has crafted a thought-provoking short film that explores themes of addiction and personal transformation. Today as we see the younger generation pitted in issues like addiction, the film deals in with this issue and gives a strong message at the end. The narrative centers around a young man caught in a struggle between his yearning for escape and the harsh reality of addiction. It delivers a powerful message about resilience, self-reflection, and the consequences of one’s choices on those they love, posing the poignant question, “What am I becoming?
“The film stars young students like Md Zarrar in the lead role, supported by an impressive cast that includes Muzammil Khan as Yunus, Dr. Jawaad as a policeman, Mirza Danish Baig as Yusuf, and Maherin Fatema as Fatema. Voice artist Affan Moin Khan enriches the storytelling, vividly portraying the protagonist’s internal battles.Directed by Taiseer Zaid, with Ammar Khan serving as the editor and Owais Athar in charge of graphic design, the project draws inspiration from “Inspiration 2 EP1: I’m Not Like Others” by Bayyinah.
It was made possible with the backing of Digital Islamic World (DIW), a platform committed to promoting moral values and producing socially relevant, educational content for today’s youth.
