Vidarbha Administration Issues Warning on Social Media Misuse Ahead of State Assembly Elections

In the Vidarbha region a small town called Bhandara in Nagpur division a session was conducted on an important issue called Fake News. The local administration is urging citizens to remain vigilant as the cyber cell of the Media Certification & Monitoring Committee (MCMC) actively monitors all social media accounts. Strict measures will be enforced against any accounts that disseminate false information or objectionable content during the upcoming State Assembly elections.

Assistant Police Inspector Pramod Shinde, who leads the social media efforts at MCMC, has called on group administrators to exercise heightened caution regarding this issue. Serious infractions may be reported for spreading rumors, inciting communal tensions, posting threats or fear-inducing messages, and advertising without proper authorization on social media.
