With Navratri festivities commencing on September 22, Nagpur Police’s Traffic Branch has implemented special traffic regulations around the Jagdamba Temple in Koradi, which attracts large crowds during the nine-day festival. These measures are designed to reduce congestion and ensure the safe movement of devotees.
Key Traffic Rules:
- Four-Wheelers and Heavy Vehicles: Except for two-wheelers, vehicles coming from the Chhindwara side are prohibited from using the service road beside the flyover leading to the temple. Buses and heavy vehicles must turn right on Chhindwara Road towards Khaparkheda to access the temporary bus stand inside the temple premises.
- Auto-Rickshaws: A temporary stand has been set up before the flyover, and auto-rickshaws are not allowed to enter the bridge.
- Two-Wheelers: Riders traveling to Khaparkheda from the Nanda bypass may use this route, but entry toward the Koradi temple is restricted. Two-wheelers heading to the temple will be permitted only through the main entrance gate.
- Cycles and Two-Wheelers from Mouza Mahadula: Dedicated parking space has been arranged in the open ground nearby.
Crowd Management:Authorities anticipate heavy crowds throughout the day and night as devotees flock to the Jagdamba Temple. To manage the influx, the district administration and city police have coordinated comprehensive crowd control and traffic management plans to facilitate smooth entry and exit for worshippers.These measures aim to ensure a safe and hassle-free Navratri experience for all devotees visiting Koradi Temple.
