Dancing under the open sky with friends and family is the best way to bid farewell to the year,” said Shamika Aney, a resident of Pratap Nagar.For those seeking adventure, jungle safaris and eco-resorts were the top choices. Popular destinations such as Tadoba, Navegaon, Pench, and Bor Dharan reported full bookings. Many revelers left early Tuesday morning and returned by Wednesday evening, rejuvenated by their wilderness experiences. “Celebrating in a jungle hut under a starry sky is surreal.
It’s the perfect mix of adventure and tranquility,” shared Vijay Bhandari, who spent New Year’s Eve in Pench with friends.The weather added a magical touch to the celebrations, with clear skies and a cool breeze replacing the previous week’s gloom, settling at a pleasant 16.4°C. Spiritual seekers marked the occasion by visiting temples like Tekdi Ganesh Mandir and Agyaram Devi. Other religious sites, including Siddhivinayak Temple in Zilpi, Adasa Ganesh Mandir, Shani Shaktipeeth in Chauki, Mahalaxmi Mandir in Koradi, Ramtek, and Dhapewada, also saw heavy foot traffic. “I wanted to end my year on a devotional note,” said Sneha Joshi, who visited Shegaon.
