If you are among those who have noticed some of your files missing at the Google Drive then you are not alone.Many have noticed this incident taking place in the drive. When many complained about the same Google had to accept the same. Now, we see the giant search engine is pinpointing about the same by giving up some of the recommendations till the issue is resolved.
Once the company was notified by many of the users, they then checked and investigated the issue with Google Drive and then announced about it. The company with a clarification note stating that the issue is with the Google Drive only for the Desktop based users. Google also claimed that the issue has a limited impact on the users and their data and that they will soon come up with the update as their engineers fix the problem. The company is now busy focussing over resolving the issue as soon as possible, while it has suggested the users avoid the issue of file deletion.
As per Google, you are not supposed to click over the Disconnect Account within your Google Drive for the desktop based users. Avoid deleting data or film and even moving the app data folder. Check the same with the command prompt- Windows: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\DriveFS and macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Google/DriveFS.
The company further requested the users to have a backup copy of their important data saved in the drive for a safer side, which they called as an option. Stay tuned to know more about it only with us.
